MINUTES FROM LAST MEETING:

Minutes from the March meeting along with a notice that we had no meetings for the months of April, May and June were read and approved.

TREASURERS REPORT:

Treasurers Report was read and approved. (copy on last page of minutes) A motion was made and approved that the Petti-cash be deposited into the general funds account since it has remained the same for a couple of years.  We still have about half or our registered members who have yet to pay their 2020 dues which were due in April. The yearly dues are not prorated. They are $80.00 regardless of when you pay them.

SAFETY REPORT:

No report, just a reminder for everyone to stay safe.

FIELD MAINTENANCE REPORT:

We ran out of grease for the mowers and some of the bearings now need to be replaced at a cost of about $100.00

Some of the staples holding down the Gor-Tec are coming loose. Please add a small piece of 2x4 and a mallet to your tool box so that if you see any coming up, you will be able to take a moment and drive them back down.

TRAINING:

David Ward is training with Ed. Ed also had some youths flying with him on a Buddy Box.

OLD BUSINESS:

Our club picnic has been postponed until fall. The date will be decided at a later meeting.

NEW BUSINESS & UPCOMING EVENTS

Bill Evans is negotiating with someone about using a large pond for Float Fly planes. The owner of Key West Boats, has two private ponds not far from the pond we used before and seems to be amiable to our using one of them for Float Flying. One of the ponds could be used at any time for flying or boats. The other, larger pond, he would like us to notify him in advance if we want to use it.  We will need to register the ponds with AMA as two separate sites.

The AUGUST MEETING will be held at the field on SATURDAY, AUGUST 1ST AT 9 AM. This is to encourage attendance by those reluctant to enter buildings due to the COVID-19 virus.

SHOW AND TELL:

No entries this month.

CRASH OF THE MONTH:

Charlie Tenio lost his new Striker. He lost it in the clouds doing a power climb;

Kevin McGrady had a servo failure on his Heli;

Larry Phillips broke the nose on one of his planes;
