NOV 2015 CRCS CLUB MEETING MINUTES

The meeting was called to order by club President Ed Yeash at 7PM Nov 2, 2015 at Perkins Restaurant located at 1700 Trolley Rd Summerville, SC. There were 22 members in attendance.


MINUTES FROM THE LAST MEETING


Minutes from the last meeting were accepted as posted on the club website per Secretary Bob Call. They are available for review HERE.


TREASURERS REPORT

Presented by Bob Mason. The treasurer’s Report was approved by the members present. The Treasurer’s report can be viewed on the members only website.


SAFETY REPORT

Safety Officer Bud Gehr reports no serious safety issues this month. He reminded pilots to rebind the receivers after a new setup so modifications would be retained in radios. As well he cautioned about parallel charging batteries that are unbalanced. Also there is LiPo battery safety information on the webpage. Mr. Bailey cautioned the group to be careful of poisonous snakes around the field.


FIELD MAINTENANCE

Field Marshall Gerry Higdon reports that the field is in good condition after the recent rains. New cabinets have been installed in the middle shed. The frequency pins will by located in the storage shed. He will remove the “No Pets” signs from the flying field. Pets are allow provided they are leashed and the owner cleans up after them. Gerry will have the new mower serviced in the off-season.


OLD BUSINESS

Training: Richard Guthrie reports the training program is going well.

Geotextile Runway: The proposal to install the geotex runway was withdrawn due to objections from the property owner.

Richard Jackson wil prepare and mail ballots. Elections to be held at the December 7, 2015 meeting


CRASH OF THE MONTH

This months winner was Ed Yeash for the baptism of his Carbon Cub. Ditched in Lake Austin purportedly due to a “bad” flap servo during the float fly.



MEETING ADJOURNED

The meeting was adjourned at 7:35 PM. The next meeting will be held on Dec 7, 2015 at Perkins Restaurant 1700 Trolley Rd  Summerville, SC at 7PM.
