No report, just a reminder for everyone to stay safe.

FIELD MAINTENANCE REPORT:

Repairs were made to the small mower. Field looks good. Thanks go to Sylvie Hasapis for her help with the mowing. Just a reminder: there is a mallet and piece of lumber left at the field to use for tacking down the pins that are coming up on the GeoTec landing strip.

TRAINING:

Steve Criddle was flying his new Cherokee using a buddy box when he nosed in on takeoff and broke the nose wheel off.

Jack is now training Eva.

OLD BUSINESS:

Planning of our club picnic has been postponed to a later meeting. It was pointed out that there are only a couple of months left in the year.

NEW BUSINESS & UPCOMING EVENTS

The membership cards for this year were available for members to pick up. If you have not gotten yours, please contact Ed Yeash.

It was brought to the attention of the club that the remains of the old metal canopy at the control line circle makes it hard to mow. It was decided to get volunteers together to manually move the obstacle to another location.

Eddie Redman (91) underwent Cardiac Cauterization, where blockages were found. He was kept in the hospital for a couple of weeks but has now been released to Compass Health, a convalescing center. We wish him all the best and hope to see him back at the field soon.

Richard told the club about a website called Willie Nillie which designs planes around Half A engines..

SHOW AND TELL:

Robert Brooks and Richard White are working with a scout STEM program using a kit which is like a large erector set. The $695.00 cost of each kit was covered by a grant. This kit introduces the Scouts to building, installing servos and remote control. The kits belong to the Coastal Carolina Council and are available for troops to rent. The sample Robert brought with him can be steered to a target item, pick the item up, move around with that item then replace it back where it started.

CRASH OF THE MONTH:

Kevin McGrady lost 3 helicopters

Steve Criddle had a nose dive on takeoff.

It was determined that Kevin had the greater loss so he was awarded the trophy.

MEETING ADJOURNED:

Meeting adjourned at 9:40 AM.

THE OCTOBER MEETING WILL BE HELD AT THE FIELD ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 3rd, AT 9 AM, WEATHER PERMITTING
